Asterix at the Olympic Games PC
Asterix at the Olympic:
Introduction:
"Asterix at the Olympic Games" (French: Astérix aux Jeux olympiques) is a 2008 French fantasy comedy film co-directed by Frédéric Forestier and Thomas Langmann. The screenplay, written by Langmann, Alexandre Charlot, and Frank Magnier, is based on characters from the Astérix comic series created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. The majority of the filming took place in Spain during 2006, and this film serves as a sequel to "Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra" (2002), marking the third entry in the Asterix film series.
Plot:
Upon its release, "Asterix at the Olympic Games" held the distinction of being the most expensive non-English-language French film ever made. Despite negative reviews from critics, the film found success in various European markets, notably performing well in Poland, Spain, and France.
The plot revolves around Astérix and Obélix's mission to secure victory in the Olympic Games to enable their friend Lovesix to marry Princess Irina. Meanwhile, Brutus employs a wide range of tactics to ensure his own team's success in the games and to oust his father, Julius Caesar, from power.
The film is a loose adaptation of the original "Asterix at the Olympic Games" comic book, with the addition of a romantic subplot between Lovesix and Irina, a narrative element not present in the source material. Additionally, Brutus, portrayed in a comical villainous manner in the film, diverges significantly from his characterizations in the Asterix comics, where he was not even featured as a character in the original story.
